IQ 16 - Support index partitioning?
Dear IQ gurues,
My colleagues using Vertica and known (don't no from) that SAP (Sybase) IQ doesn't support index partitioning
Please clarify - Does SAP IQ support index partitioning or not?

The FP, default, indexes are partition aware and the storage mechanism for partitioned data. The other indexes are global and can only be created on the whole table, not on an individual partition.

Re: doubt on DSO transportation from DEV TO Q ?
1) why is it asking to include the old datasource to include in the transport ?
Probably the datasource version between the dev and prod is not in sync or since a new dso is mapped with the ds and you are trying to move it ...the transformation is new and structure is new for the ds ...that is why it may be asking to capture.
2) what will happen, if we include the datasource in the transport ? while the tr move to PROD, willl the delta gets effected in prod ?
if its a generic then no problem . but if its a standard one , then u need to move only the the queue is emply. delete data in smq1 for that specific extractor , run ip make sure delta records are zero , then move else delta will be disturbed.
3)I have loaded data from the datasource to the new DSO and from DSO to IC, do i need to delete the data in the objects, before capturing the transport. Is it the reason ?
doesnt matter , only structure will be moved. however you should only bother when dso is already there with data and some new infoobject are added ( structure changed) in dev and you are trying to move.. since now structure will be different in this case...transport will fail..

You have now an edi-processing, right?
You want to have an additional print (on paper), right?
if to both question your answer is yes, It will be a lot easier to implement a form to print in case of implement a form to process the edi-things.

Hi Priya,
That's great news, if it works for type U then the workflow step is fine. Authorizations, which are sometimes misleading, could well be the cause after all.
Try an auth trace (ST02 I think, no SAP system to hand at moment). The problem with SU53 is it will only show you the last failed authorization and won't always pick up HR structural authorizations, which I suspect may be the culprit here. If you have any HR techies around, ask them about Structural Authorizations.

So what is the problem with it. You need to have a full qualified key? Just add it...
Otherwise if I'm right kunn2 ends always in one kna1-kunnr. But of course the number could be more often included...

Was '>' or '<' not working from XML? I used a > operator in a calculated column and then exported the HANA model to see the XML file of it. It has something like this below:

One alternative to this is calling the event "PRINT PDF" in order to create the PDF document after the user clicks on "SEND" button. Do you know where do I cutsomize the trigger for this event? and how?

LSMW - not all lines are displayed
We just upgraded to ERP 6.06 and SAP Basis 731 and I am doing the first time LSMW after this upgrade.
To my surprise SAP hides the ABAP coding lines if there are more than 16 coding lines and shows a line with "not all lines are displayed - double click"
A search for a string which is located in this hidden section is not found anymore, even when "in whole hierarchy" is selected in the search.
Anybody there who knows how to include those hidden section into the search, or how to expand all those hidden sections?
The expand icon does not work for this section, a double click just opens the coding for this one field in a new screen.

Manual addition details in LMDB will get delete automatically after LMDB refresh job run.
So better try to re-synchronize the system details from SLD to LMDB.
Also check whether all the details are updated in the SLD.

The work item text doesn't show any attachments either, so it would appear there are no attachments. Verify this by manually creating an attachment directly in the inbox. If the icon shows up then there is a problem earlier in the process.

I am the owner/responsible for z_fm and now these changes/fix is planned to do in my z_fm, hence if something goes wrong I need to answer, hence I want to make sure
Bcz of some reasons, we don't have a chance to test/reproduce this issue in DEV/ACC environments, hence we are planning to migrate the fix ASAP to PRD, therefore my responsibility is more intense
Now, at this point (migtate fix ASAP to PRD) I don't want to go thru all the workflow books and learn workflow and fix the issue and send it to PRD

UK Payroll PU12 Issues
Hello Friends: I have issues in UK Payroll PU12. Wage types in SAP are not going to Ceridian file. Mostly happening with IT0014 wagetypes. I noticed that if I generate the File layout in PU12 then the wage types are going to Ceridian file. However, not advisable to generate the FileLayout without Code changes in PU12. Is there anyway I can resolve this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

UK Payroll new tax code 1000L
Hello Friends:
In UK Payroll new tax code 1000L for year 2014-April 06th. I have updated in Constant table V_T511K effective April 06th 2014 but this code is not going to Ceridian interface(PU12). I would like to know where we need to apply this new tax code?. Is there any OSS Notes?. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in Advance
