Hi Ahmed,

SMP Odata /Kapsel - There are existing mobile apps, you can either choose apps from these to configure in your enterprise or develop your own apps. You can develop different types of apps like native , hybrid or online. You are free to choose any tool of your choice to develop the apps, ex. Appcelerator, Sencha, Cordova.

Agentry - There are existing robust apps, you can choose apps from these or develop an app from scratch. It is based on Meta data driven approach.

Mobiliser - Meant for mobile commerce applications. It has set of standard capabilities used in mCommerce solutions, thereby it helps to reduce the code of mobile operators and banks. Some of the solutions are mobile banking mobile money and mobile wallet.

You can find the basics from below links:

SAP GRC AC 5.3 is on JAVA only SPM works on ABAP.

RAR: is on Java, since you do not have 10.1 in your landscape  you cannot compare.

we need to send you the txt file and you can compare.

which system you need R/3 or SRM or CRM??

Hi Roxxy,

You should be able to store data in device and perform operations (CRUD), the database used in offline storage is ultraliteDB. You can either use SMP SP04 server with SMP SP05 SDK or SMP Cloud mobile services (it's in ramp up).

You can watch this recording that explains how offline works in SMP:SMP 3.0 Enablement - Overview

Re: Calling RFC in Background Step

Hi

In addition to what Lohith has mentioned above, do check:

1) ST22 for any dumps around that time (the time of start of the step in workflow log) for user WF-BTACH. If a step goes endlessly in the status "In Process", there can be a dump

Also check Step History tab of that step in Technical WF log and see if there are any messages in there.

2) Ensure WF-BATCH has SAP_ALL so that there is no Authorization issue in RFC calls

3) Ensure that you can make RFC class to the desired system - the connections are open and are not locked

4) Check with your Basis team if there is any specific settings to be done on the target system to enable calls from WF-BATCH coming in from source system (where the workflow is).

Modak

Re: Q-Q relationship: use?

I think it sole purpose is to further segmentize a group of Qualifications, but instead of using a QK (which you can't assign to a P or S/C object) you'll use a generic Q and assign specific Qs below it. (belongs to)

As for the the impact in LSO, it does nothing. In the above example, if you assign the generic Q to the position requirement of an employee, the profile matchup in the Learning Portal only shows the generic Q as a requirement. It will not 'inherit' all the specific Q objects under the root Q as additional Qualification requirements.

Same behaviour when you display the Emp/Position profile in PPPD.

NO, it does not , its used to snyc users without password.

but you have an option to create in database, depends upon your leading system you can choose the right option.

Execute report RSLDAPSYNC_USER with a background job for delta synchronization (for example, using transaction SA38).

The users SAP*, DDIC and EARLYWATCH are excluded from the synchronization, and you do not need to exclude them explicitly. On the other hand, other communication users, such as those for RFC connections, are treated like normal users.

Specify the logical LDAP server.

Choose an LDAP Connector. If you do not specify a particular LDAP Connector, the system automatically selects one.

Define how the synchronization report should process the entries of the objects that are found during the search. The search result is made up of three subsets:

Objects that exist in both the directory and the database

Objects that only exist in the directory

Objects that only exist in the database

Setting in the Objects that exist in both the directory and the database group frame

Comment

Compare Time Stamp

Delta synchronization: Only objects whose time stamp was changed are synchronized. The synchronization is performed in accordance with the synchronization indicators in transaction LDAPMAP.

Ignore Time Stamp

Complete synchronization: All objects are synchronized according to the synchronization indicators in transaction LDAPMAP.

Ignore Objects

Delta synchronization: Objects that already exist are not updated, but, depending on the settings in the other group frames, objects that do not exist may be created.

*The settings are only different in terms of the scope of users to be synchronized.

Setting in the Objects that only exist in the directory group frame

Comment

Create in Database

The directory is the leading system; that is, it exports all entries to the SAP system

Delete from Directory

The SAP system is the leading system; that is, entries that do not exist in the SAP system are to be deleted from the directory

You must be absolutely certain that the directory entries that are to be deleted are only used for SAP applications and do not contain any external attributes. Otherwise, you may delete entries that other systems are still using.

Ignore Objects

For example, if the users are not used in the SAP system

Delete from Directory

The directory is the leading system; that is, entries that do not exist in the LDAP-compatible directory service are to be deleted from the SAP system.

We recommend that you only lock the users. This means that the master data is kept, and the actions of the user can be traced later (for example, for review purposes).

Lock in Database

The directory is the leading system; that is, entries that do not exist in the LDAP-compatible directory service are to be locked in the SAP system.

Ignore Objects

For example, if service users exist in the SAP system that are not used in the directory

Save your entries.

Choose Execute.

MII 14.0 connectivity with non-ECC system

Hi Sergiy/experts,

I am very clear that SAPMEINT CTC can be used for ECC connection set up from MII.

Apart from ECC, it seems we can connect other type of systems as well ..example SCM.  Is just a Jco connection creation enough in the connections link under "data server" for the same. Wont it be having any Idoc listener like ECC?..How can we monitor it?

I will appreciate your help.

Thanks in advance

Hi

I have few doubts to clear for testing this.

Which special GL indicator are you using?

Are you using same special GL indicator for customers? If yes then how do you differentiate it? Special GL indicator can't be customer specific unless we create two separate. One with Relevant to credit managment and other with not.

Could you please explain this little more so that I can make a similar test scenario?

Thank$

How to use Subversion BI4.1 SP2

0

Hi

I have configured BI4.1 SP2 with subversion that comes with BI Installer. I have everything working on the Version Management Application on the CMC. I Can check in AddToVm objects via CMC but I am not sure how will the report developers and universe designers use this tool? I cannot give access to these user groups to CMC? Is there a documentation available as to how to use Verdsion Management. The scenario is that we would like to have our developers use Version Control(in built subversion) to check in the universe or the report that they are working on so that their work is not overwritten by other developers working on the same universe at the same time?

Is this scenario feasible? and how to achive this outcome?

Thanks!

Shipping Price calculation In Ratio

Dear All,

We have a business scenario in which we are capturing the shipping cost on material.

The process is as follow

Create PO-->>Inbound Delivery-->Shiping Document (VT01n)-->> Shipping Cost(VI01) -->>GRN.

The cost of shipping is calculated equally for each line item and loaded on material. Now business wants to Have this cost based on Value of material i.e dividing the amount based on ratio.

What will be the possible solution for this.

Have been looking for the solution but could not found any.

Thanks

Sachin.

Re: SAP Migration Report MAX-DB to sybase.Database platform sybase missing

thank you Regan.

you continuously giving my feedback. I have test this option earlier in my SAP ECC 6 MAXDB 7.7.06. but it take very long time and did not create WHR file.

I read one forum  from andres Herzaon as below. he says to create table at OS level via R3ta. do you have any idea what he saying. if i understand how to create R3ta table splitting. but you can guide me the sequence. and further one thing how i can run sapinst with java.

Correct Answer by Andreas Herzog  on Dec 23, 2010 10:26 AM

Table splitting using R3ta/table splitter can reduce downtime when using machines with lots of CPUs Splitting big tables will mainly distribute portions of the table to different R3trans processes thus ex/importing these tables in parallel...this can save time

The migration monitor is the control center for the R3trans processes; it gives you great flexibility in controlling R3trans...

My way of using these tools:

1. start SAPInst (tick the "MigrationMonitor" option one one of the first screens)

2. use Table Splitting feature in SAPInst (using Java)

3. SAPinst will start R3ldctl and R3szchk (creating EXT, STR etc.)

4. when SAPinst prompts for Migration Monitor exit SAPinst

5. split tables using R3ta on os level (= creating WHR files)

6. copy the WHR files to /<export dir>/DATA

7. start migration monitor in background

8. make youself comfortable + drink some coffee

9. after migration monitor finishes (and all packages have been processed succesfully) restart SAPinst

10. usually SAPinst will take some minutes to finish...

11. transfer export dump to target directory/machine

12. import uisng SAPinst and migration monitor option...

Re: 2lis_02_scl data flow issue for PO value

0

Dear Dolly,

Here are my Inputs.

1) In the flow mentioned by you  2LIS_02_SCL --> DSO1(w.o.)-->DSO2(std)-->DSO3(std)-->Cube

DSO1 to DSO2 has to be summation. In DSO2 process Key should not be in Key.

Actual You can get this done by removing one of the DSOs

2LIS_02_SCL --> DSO1(w.o.)-->DSO2(std- Summation- process key as data field)-->Cube

2)  Due to the peculiar feature of MM data source, every thing has to work based on process key.

So you DSO2 should have field level routine to get the PO value.

For eg the routine has to be

IF ( SOURCE_FIELDS-PROCESSKEY = '001' or

     SOURCE_FIELDS-PROCESSKEY = '011' or

     SOURCE_FIELDS-PROCESSKEY = '021')

The same should be the case of GR also.

Regards

Gajesh
