I can't access HDB from home, but I'll try to take a look next week If you post additional info.
Also HDB table and table inserts or data export would be a conditio sine qua non.
Seems from the post that you know your stuff, so its probobly some silly typefeller or you're ommiting something by mistake. Give a collegue or somebody to take a look at it.
You're porting code from MS SQL ? Maybe in MS SQL ID column was self incrementing so you did not have to provide ID when inserting ? Just speculating, and that benefits no one. Sorry.

Appeon - Create New Deployment
Greetings All,
My client purchased Appeon Web Server and it has been working great.
I have one project deployed to my Appeon Server and now I want to deploy another project.
My concern is that I will screw something up when I go to add a new project.
Can someone kindly walk me through the steps of the Appeon Toolbar to accomplish this?
I currently have a PB 12.5.1 Web Application deployed to one of my servers. The user logs in, selects a report from the menu, select a date range and an account and clicks 'Get Data'. The data is displayed and the user can then email the report to themselves (implemented by dw_1.saveas with Excel/HTML or PDF). I use MapVirtualDrive so the file can be found and attached to an email that is sent out via the smtp server.

Well thats an odd question that can be answered filosofically, and I dont see how can that benefit You.
Dont slack, dont procrastinate,, dont go thru HA300 examples just like going thru motions without deeply understanding how it works.
Also, I dont know your baseline knowledge, maybe you know halph of it allready.
For instance 3/4 of HA300 was old news to me, so I just browsed thru it. I took HanaSup certification before HanaImp so HA100 was old news to me and all Admin stuff.
I played with Hadoop allready before so that too. 20 years of programming experience and 15 of writting SQL procedures and SQL optimizing helped.
BI on the other hand is not what I worked with in Sap (and there's a lot of it, terminology and stuff) so I struggled at first a little bit.
Do Not not take Learning Hubs HA300E and HA350E, cause it will make your preparation easier (if youre not already heavilly working with Hana every day).
What I see lately around is that Abap people underestimate SQL. Hana SQL is not Abap SQL level knowledge.
So do not not learn SQL deeply, working with sets (thats not as much for certification but for good coding)
Also, I posted a story about my HanaSup certification a while ago, so maybe that can help you.

12.5.1 Datawindow - SaveAs Excel8! - Appeon
Greetings All,
I am wondering if there are any upgrades or workarounds for saving a datawindow as an excel spreadsheet where it actually includes the calculated fields (or if Appeon has a better solution).
Right now I am saving datawindows in HTML format with a file name ending in .xlsx. This is a problem because Excel 2010 whines when you open it because the content doesn't match.
This used to work fine back with an extension of .xls when we were opening the files in Excel 2008, but those days are gone.
Any info will be appreciated.

there is two place the plant can be assigned to sales areas
- one is in Enterprise stucture--> assignment ---> SD ---> assign sales org - distr.chnl --plant
- the other one is like above displayed in Material Mgt --> Purchasing --> purchase order --> set up stock transfer order ---> define shippin data for plants
the first one i understand it as the deliverying plant if the sales order is made, the product would be delivered from this plant.

Now the situation is even more confusing, because I've rebooted HANA as well as the replication configuration using LTRC and then I noticed that the status of DD03L table is "Load In Progress" instead of "Replicate In Progress":
However, the replication job was running over 30 minutes and there were 20 000 more records loaded, but after that no more records have been received for a long time:
Any other ideas what could I do next?
btw. It seems that this table is mandatory (it contains tables' fields).

The best to create a BASE LINE install is using Symantec Ghost Imaging, The BI 4.1 is an Application install and it is depend on the name of the server. As long the server name would stay the same you can Symantec Ghost Imaging software as your base.
Also such feature should be available using VMWare software as well.
