I'm working on something similar where I want to upgrade Tomcat 6 to 7 only but not the BO Application. We have
BO4.0 sp8 standalone
BO4.1sp5 - Distributed(new)
I like to use App server from 4.0 and upgrade it from 6 to 7 to use it with BO 4.1. I do not want to upgrade BO application, infact I like to remove it instead. What will be the best practice.

In this Loans Management module, we are able to maintain all the details with respect to start term, end term, repayment details, nominal interest, correspondence details, interest calculation methods, etc..

But when I tried to create it I found that there is no such product type 33B for the General Loan Taken.
So can someone kindly advice where (t-code) and how to do that to be able to create a General Loan Taken?
Also can someone please provide me with the main t-codes in sequence to create:
1. The taken loan from bank.
2. Start date and interest will be calculated.
3. Trace loan history (report) which installments have been settled and which are not yet with their due dates.
Also, is there a difference to operate the Loan Management from SAP Banking or the Treasury and Risk Management or no?
N.B.: please pardon me where I am new in such area and it is first time to recruit the Loan Management.

I have attached an RPT (extension will need to be renamed, since the forum disallows RPT files) with data that is exhibiting behavior that I cannot understand. The report is generating a second page that contains only group headers and a page footer. As far as I can tell, this report should only need one page. This was generated using version 13.0.13.1597.
The report is rather complex, with conditional suppression in several sections. The conditions are necessary because the report is part of a shrink-wrap system that gives users options on how the form should be printed.
Any suggestions on how I can fix this report would be appreciated.

If you login as administrator then it's working fine else getting connection issue right?
Step 1: Create a user group (UDT_Users) in CMC
Step 2: Add users to this group
Step 3: Go to application in CMC > Information Design Tool > User Security > Provide access to user group (UDT_Users) with rights as shown in screenshot.
Step 4: Now ask users to login. atleast it should allow to go in then you can check for universe security.
else just assign these users to 'Universe Designer Users (User Group)' if this group is still valid, this is the group comes by default.

here my standard folder settings only will reflect know if i copy to custom folder also ? so what is the need of creating the custom folder ...this if we did at starting only we may not face any problem but now we cant do this , but for standard folders only changes are being done ....any suggestion ...we can get standard settings again back for this ..

We have migrated data from virsa 4.0 to grc 10.1, all virsa mitigation
approvers and controllers got migrated but we are not able to map new
mitigation approver and controller to the mitigation ids.
The steps we have done below.
1. We have created user id in su01 with necessary authorizations
2. we have declared this user id in Access control owners as a
mitigation approver and assigned to the organization unit
Now we are trying to map to newly created mitigation approver to the
mitigation id but we are not able to find that approver id for the mitigation ids. (only old mitigation ids came from VIRSA only we are able to see, not able to add new mitigation approvers / controllers to the mitigation ids)
Kindly check this issue, this is very critical for us.

It's always suggested to have your PI on the higher release
For PI, it is a prerequisite that no other system in the system landscape has a higher release than the PI system.
Reference : 1043047 - Compatibility of XI/PI in the system landscape
And as per the SAP upgrade dependency analyzer, independent upgrade i.e. ECC upgrade without PI upgrade is not advisable.
But it completely depends on the usage of ECC and PI. You might want to check with SAP before making any decision.

please see this attached screen shot of tcode: fagll03, the user has requested the following highlighted statuses (open items, cleared items, all items) on BI report and I'm not able to figure out the source of this. So basically the BI report should have this status against every line item in the report.
Wow, that's quite a bit to ponder over, I think this dump is only observed typically when you import a transport or a patch while the program is in use.
And I have seen live occurrences in our production system whenever a transport goes in modifying central function modules.
In our case we have noticed that a certain user started sales order screen VAXX, while he/she was feeding data (screen being idle). A transport went in modifying a function module. At the next dialog step when the function module was access, he/she got an ABAP dump saying LOAD_PROGRAM_LOST.
if you were importing transports during the maintenance hour, you forget about the user 
, if not the user might turn up at your desk with a shotgun

Observe the ST22 dump timings and program name etc (from call stack provided in st22 dump) and compare it with transport import history, if you find a related program/function module being changed, you have isolated the issue.
if you have recent versions of SAP, the sendon,exeauto has correct default values and application server sync shouldn't cause this, unless you(or your predecessors) have intentionally set it.

I don't, because every country has customers that pay high maintenance fees. They expect these fees to go into improvements, and a particularly critical one is legal compliance. Cheap software houses rolls these out more easily.
I've had the misfortuned of applying notes to some of these programs, particularly ECB reporting, and some customers get so fed up they hire consultants to develop custom solutions since they themselves have limited internal resources (like SAP says they have). Even if they choose SAP's solution there are so many notes to implement they have to hire consultants anyway.
I would say this is one of the things that makes customer reconsider their usage of SAP, because the cost of these consultants is very high, and this is on top of licensing fees that most customers find unreasonable to begin with. SAP needs to do better support, I would say it's more important then "going Cloud".

MD02 is a multi-level planning transaction, which means that MRP will plan this material and all the components.
A time out on MD02 usually happens when there are too many components (huge BOM) or that you have to many planning elements. It may be also a combination of both causes.
There are two alternative to avoid this dump:
1 - Plan your material using transaction MD03, which is a single level planning transaction
2 - Increate the max runtime parameter as already suggested by Jürgen.

I've a requirement for cross company process. Our company is maintaining prices for selling. As example below;
Plant 1 - Customer Number A
Plant 2 - Customer Number B
Plant 1 sells Material X to Customer B with 10 USD.
So when Plant 2 opens PO, I want to catch this price automaticly. I've tried to use referance condition type in conditions master data but I couldn't find Customer field while maintaining fields for SD table against my MM condition access sequence. So Is there any solution for this issue? There is customer in KOMK but I'm not able to select it in MM fields in access sequence.

I've just created in Cloud Appliance following the steps mentioned in the SAP ABAP on HANA Open SAP course.
everything went well except after Remotely logging into the External Front end system using Remote Desktop Connection. i've not been able to login to SAP system at all .
I've been trying to use the DEVELOPER Account using my Master Password but it just wont work .
I've tried using the DDIC , and the SAP* users with my Master password again with not luck
I'm really hoping there is an easy solution to this .

I created an instance of SAP BW 7.4 SP5 2 days back and every time I login to check the instance status, it is undefined. I have tried multiple times to activate the instance, pop up appears that it might take more than 40 mins, I waited for around an hour but its not activated yet. .
Let me know if I am missing out anything.
