"List of all customizing transactions in SAP"?! What would you possibly do with it?

Re: If you set a SLA for UAR process what happens when due date is passed?

I faced the problem where the SLA does nothing.

I set up the SLA to be one day for testing purposes and assign a UAR to myself.

I can still do the review even though the due date is over. The SLA does not seem to serve any purposes.

A man brought a very limp dog into the veterinary clinic. As he laid the dog on the table, the doctor pulled out his stethoscope, placing the receptor on the dog's chest.  After a moment or two, the vet shook his head sadly and said, "I'm sorry, but your dog has passed away." "What?" screamed the man.  "How can you tell? You haven't done any testing on him or anything. I want another opinion!" With that, the vet turned and left the room. In a few moments, he returned with a Labrador retriever. The Retriever went right to work, sniffing and prodding, checking the poor dead dog out thoroughly. After a considerable amount of sniffing, the Retriever sadly shook his head and said, "Bark".

The veterinarian then took the Labrador out and returned in a few moments with a cat, which also checked out the poor dog on the table. As had his predecessors, the cat sadly shook his head and said, "Meow." He then jumped off the table and ran out of the room.  The veterinarian handed the man a bill for $600. The dog's owner went berserk.  "$600! Just to tell me my dog is dead? This is outrageous!"

The vet shook his head sadly and explained. "If you had taken my word for it, it would have been $50, but with the Lab work and the cat scan....

Hello Jeswanth,

Yes I can confirm that the crash you experienced has no workaround unfortunately.

As this crash has been fixed as of Revision 94, please be aware the SP9 is not available on the SMP (in case you are looking for this revision). 112.02 would be the best option .

Re: Can we add attachment to SAP UAR Notification Email

I will close this message now as it does not seem to have any standard way to do it except perhaps through some enhancement. I have not done any enhancement and do not have the solution.

I will try starting from the SAP note that talks about how to remove the default attached excel sheet and see if there is any way to do it. this is just for my knowledge and enhancement.

Our solution is to use sharepoint link.

Fiori Overview Page Design

Hello all,

I'm facing troubles with overview page design. Here's my overview page:

print.png

My questions are:

How can I make it smaller and more like a square?

How can I show numeric values inside the data points?

Is it possible to turn the points biggers on the graph?

My intention is to create a graph more like the graph below:

Hola compañera.

No creo que esto sea configurable ya que son funciones nativas del sistema, existe un AddOn muy bueno para realizar configuraciones adicionales en Business One, se llama Boyum.

Suerte.

Re: How to fix GLPCT and GLPCA difference

Hi Eli,

Thanks for your advice.

The SAP release in question is 4.7 and that unfortunately OSS note 2090912 is applicable only as from 6.00.

Would you advise if you are aware of any other solution/approach to resolve GLPCT/GLPCA inconsistency?

Cheers

Taro

Thanks Vladimir!

I didn't know that each app has is own schema id, it makes sense!

What do you suggest if I have to develop an enterpirse App using persistence, JPA Eclipselink or JDBC directly? I read that with JDBC you have full access to Prodceudures, HANA reserved SQL statements, etc.

In the other hand the simplicity of EclipseLink is great ...

Thanks!

Hierarchies from BEx in Webi report

Hello,

I'm using SAP BO 4.1 I SP5 and Business Explorer Query Designer 7.3 SP9 and I've created one query that has a hierarchy that I want to display also in a Webi report but for some reason I'm not able to display all the nodes or levels of the hierarchy.

The first level is fine, I get the + (plus sign) to show the next level but I have a row that says Not assigned values and I don't see the same sign to show the values of that level.

This is how I want to see the hierarchy and levels...

Plant
100A
200B
300C
Not assigned
##
999999

Plant and Not Assigned are Level 1 and Level 2 are the 100/200...etc values.

For some reason I'm not able to see the values of the Not assigned just the ones below Plant.

I defined the number of levels to expand in the BEx query and also in BOBJ but still it doesn't work.

Any suggestions?!

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Re: How list summaryfields?

Hi David,

Great, use one of the drop down list options to get Area and Section info from the Object Name -> Field name. Look for the one you are trying to get the info from:

Kind: crReportObjectKindText -> SUM of Last Year's Sales =

EnableSuppressEmbedBlankLines: False

SectionCode: 30050

It's the name of the text object but it has the section code. Now to convert that number into a name as seen in CR Designer you can use the Section Printer Orientation....

Think of it this way, you are getting the Summary collection, not the specific details about where it is. So now you need to scan the report by section and find the Summary field by name...

Not sure what you want to do with the summary area/section so I can't suggest what to do next...

There is sample on getting int he name of the section in other parts also, have a look in debug and the report open in CRD and you can match up the objects....

Re: How to zero out all entries in a BW-infocube based on entry criterion

Hi Amol,

Thanks for replying.

Our scenario

We have one single infocube named XSNP_IC which is being loaded with Key Figure Data from APO, frequently.

Since we have multiple geographies in this APO, we have different Planning Books for different Geographies.

However we have one single Planning Area in SNP only.

This info-cube in APO XSNP_IC at any point of time contains lots of data belonging to different location/products/versions.

What I wanted to know is : "How can I selectively zero out data from this infocube filtering on plant/products/version, keeping the data of other geographies intact in this infocube"

Did you understand the question?

Rgds.

Try Using this at the start

Option Explicit

Dim EPMOBJ As New FPMXLClient.EPMAddInAutomation

instead of dim EPMOBJ as EPMADDINAUTOMATION

Make Sure FPXMLClient is checked in tools-> references

Re: Question regarding MDG-implementation (high-level): Data Migration required?

Hi Andrzej ,

I am understanding that you are looking at implementing a co deployment strategy where MDG will get co deployed on ECC . In this scenario MDG data will get stored in the same ABAP tables/structures as that of ECC . Yes , as you mentioned data is enetered by a "Requester" and as per the workflow design it moved up for review with a steward or approval stage with a approver .

Before the final activation is approved data remains in "Staging " area and is not available in ECC tables . For a co deplyement your data is already available as ECC has been around for years in your case and for future needs SAP MDG has MASS Update options to consider . But I think from an initial load perspective you may not need to worry at all.

Please read through SDN famous blogs SAP Master Data Governance

and this should give you a better understanding of MDG deployement strategies and Governance factors to consider . I hope this helps .

Re: Commodity code Transfer Logic from GTS to ECC

Hi Diwakar,

Ok, I took a look at the program code...

The "old" program /SAPSLL/STAWN_RETRANSFER takes any Product which has changed (any change), and any Product which has new classification.

The "new" program /SAPSLL/SWNAV_RETRANSFER takes any Product which has new classification.

So, depending on your GTS version, I suggest you use the new program, to avoid the symptoms you are seeing.  See SAP Note 2155652 for the applicable Support Packages.

Hope that helps.

how to convert xml file to a string and write that string to another XML file format in XI/PI?

0

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement in that i need to convert the xml file in to a string and then write it to another file as valid xml format.

i tried few logics but all of those are failed to write converted string to xml file format as it is always taking that string as XML tags but not as a string.

for example my xml was

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<Students>

<Student_Name>Srinivas</Student_Name>

<Student_FullName>Srinivas_Kumar</Student_FullName>

<DOB>1992-09-25</DOB>

<FlatNo>#04,8th main</FlatNo>

<Locality>GandhiRoad</Locality>

</Students>

expected output should be like

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<ns0:message>

<Students><Student_Name>Srinivas</Student_Name><Student_FullName>Srinivas_Kumar</Student_FullName><DOB>1992-09-25</DOB><FlatNo>#04,8th main</FlatNo><Locality>GandhiRoad</Locality></Students>

</ns0:message>

please help me in this.
