Re: How to determine runtime of SNP optimizer
Hello Raja
Following details are based on my recent experience/learning's while working Optimizer runtime(it was a nightmare)
SNP Optimizer varies regardless of number of location products or demands.
SNP Optimizer runtime is split into following 3 main steps -
Runtime 1. Reading input data
Runtime 2. Solution Calculation and
Runtime 3. Order Creation.
Runtime 2 is usually varies depends on degree of problem complexity and number of iteration optimizer has to go through before finding cost effective/optimal solution.
Analyzing the optimizer logs/trace file and collect various statistics/facts for couple of weeks can give you some idea on optimizer runtimes. Use below Tcodes - /SAPAPO/OPT11 and /SAPAPO/SNPOPLOG for collection such statistics on following criteria's -
Please keep a watch on inputs like - Number of products, locations, location products, transportation lanes and demands.
and Output like Total Fulfilled Demands, Total Un-Filled Demands and Total number of stock transfers.
and Result Indicators like how many ProdDeco iteration, Solution Quality/ Cost iterations and what is the Service Level achieved.
Besides, you can control the Optimizer runtime by setting up the Maximum Runtime(in Minutes) in Optimizer profile. Also use Parallel profile process for improving the performance of the optimizer run.
Also ask you basis team to watch system performance when it is reading data from livecache, solving the problem or creating orders in livecache, if there are any memory issue etc.

Problem in Oracle Service Creation
Hi
During the DataGuard configuration, it has been observered that the listener services are not created differently in DR additional MSCS node. The
listener services in disaster recovery system is not same production system.
Our Observation
===============
1. Failsafe listener is manual mode in DR system and automatic mode production environment.
2. Failsafe listener is runing on 1521 in DR while in production it is runing on 1527
3. Default listener (oracleRP911203TNSListener) is there in the additional mSCS node in production side while In DR site, Oracle default
listener in additional mSCS node not being created.
Would like to know ..
1. In DR Server, Why the default listener service was not being created at the time of oracle installation in additional MSCS node ?
2. Should we create it mannually ?
3. Oracle failsafe listener default port should what ? ( In disaster recovery , it is 1521 and in production it is showing 1527)

I think threshold value scenario can be used for concept of rounding profile here. You can create a rounding profile in OWD1 transaction and assign it to the material in material master MRP 1 view or inforecord. If the requirement quantity exceeds the threshold value maintained in the rounding profile.

Changes to the business object may require corrections to scripts, UI screens, forms, and so on. Therefore,
when developing an cloud solution, we recommend that you complete the business object design as far as
possible before proceeding...
I'm working on SAP CLOUD STUDIO and new to it, working on a Custom solution, by clicking on the preview we will see the screen with all the elements we created in business object and designed in the UI component, on the top we will see 'IMPLEMENTATION PROJECT NOT YET LIVE'. then for every changes we made in the business object and activate, the changes will not replicate to the designer screen, so we are deleting all the UI Components for that business object and again creating the screen for our business object then we need to design all the elements by clicking on the designer tab at bottom. If our solution is already deployed and is on live, then we can understand the changes we made in the business object will effect the live screen of the solution, but as we in the development of the solution which is not live, is there any way to over come this part with out recreating the screen for the changes made to the business object.
