using SNC for encryption only, you still need to log in with your SAP username and password. You can not log in with your AD username unless it is the same as the SAP user.
The kerberos configuration used for the SNC setup is purely to enable the clients to exchange the required keys for encryption.

Here is how I see it:
1. I can feed in any kind of data in a database table using an ABAP program's 'Update' statement. Hence, I could override any constraint/foreign key check that I would have imposed in SE11.
2. Similarly, if I release a TR, considering the update in the importing system would happen via an ABAP program, my take is the data would get written to the database. However, if we don't move all the TRs, it would lead to an inconsistent customizing, as we had predecessor nodes. For ex, if I just move TR3, what I am saying is, the import would be successful. However, if you open the node in customzing, the view might show error - saying invalid plant or invalid storage location but the TR import as such wont fail.
Hence, the sequence is not important. What is important is we move the complete logical set. The order would not matter. Is this a correct analysis? Any views?

I have a couple of questions about printing out production orders from SAP, from transaction OPk8.
My ABAPer has developed a smart form and I am trying to use the same for the list LG01, i.e. the object list.
Since, there was no place to assign a smart form directly, so the ABAPer has copied the existing print program , defined for my ref. order type and LG01 and assigned the new smart form inside the program. This new program has now been asssigned against my ref. ord type, LG01 and all the plants, as seen in screenshot below.
So I guess, it should print out the object list now as per my new smart form.
Query 1:- Do I have to assign the new smart form under the section "Forms' also, for the ref order type and LG01? or the change in the section 'print programs' is enough for the new form to kick in? Please guide me.
Query 2:- I have another requirement. I also need to print out a report for a single operation in the order and have designed a format for the same. I can see the lists available in SAP at present.What list can serve my purpose for this? All of my operations' control keys have the checkbox 'print' selected already. However, at a time, I need to print out only one operation. So, which list to use for the same purpose?

Portal 7.3 masthead customization - How to remove Logoff dialog box "Are you sure you want to logoff?"
I have recently upgraded our portal to 7.3 sps10 and we are using the Ajax framework
I have a requirement to Remove the Logoff Dialog box "Are you sure you want to logoff?"
I am able to Import masthead.war into NWDS and get the project ready for development with the appropriate jar and libraries.
I am able to deploy the project also. I need help finding How to turn this dialog box off and just log the user off. I was able to accomplish this in Classic frame work page HeaderiView.jsp.
I have looked at afpmasthead.org.sj and masthead.jsp. I am not a js/jsp developer.
I can see the logoff dialog box being created but I am having trouble finding the logoff code.
Please advise me on the code changes required to remove the Logoff dialog box "Are you sure you want to logoff?" from the Ajax framework.
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

It doesn't look like there's any space character in that string.
Hexadecimal "53002E004D00610063006B00" converts into "S.Mack", and you said earlier that you see that data in the PSA as "S MACK", so it should be either because the dot or lowercase characters are not allowed in your prod environment. I would compare the related objects and configuration between your 2 environments because if the data record is the same, then there has to be some differences in your systems.

In my example, I am using DP with BOM scenario.
The "issue" I am facing is following: I have Characteristics Product and Location as part of POS; I created two CVCs with sames product different locations, saying: (COMPUTER, NEWYORK); (COMPUTER, LONDON); I created a DP PPM for COMPUTER with production location NEWYORK; I use standard transaction to add BOM information to POS in order to generate the complete CVCs.
What I wanted is new set of CVCs with components generated only for NEWYORK, however I got two sets CVCs generated for both NEWYORK and LONDON.
Do anyone has experience with this kind of "issue"? Appreciate any sharing!

Anyhow, I ran the report in a win app and it works fine. Now this is a saved data report. So the next question is; do you get the error running this same saved data report?
If it does, what happens when you refresh the report?
If a saved data report works, but refresh causes the issue, then I'd suspect that there is something that has changed in the database(?).

Yes Gopi, I am able to create MIGO successfully and the and GR is getting posted.
TR to TO is happening in background, no destination or source screen pops-up.
We are trying to upload data to HANA Database using CSV files. But the import option in the HDBStudio fails because of the size of the file. Is there any other way we can upload the from the client system itself?

If I understand you right, you just want to hide the text in the very last row of your table?
If so, there are various options available.
1st Delete it before by using pass_value in your interface and then do it initializaiton.
2nd Create a global with the linecount in and create a condition in the textfield you want to hide.
Something like gv_tablelines <> gv_actualline.
3rd Add an additional field to the table and pass a flag (print_text = X)
Hope it gives you a solution. Otherwise you have to provide more details what you are trying to do

Hi Michael,
You can push an update from Solution Manager (the data supplier) to the SLD in transaction RZ70. There should be a button labeled "Start Data Collection and Job Scheduling". If your jobs are scheduled and everything is set up correctly, then starting your data collection will force an update ahead of schedule. (By default, the update is scheduled every 720 minutes -- i.e. 12 hours).
On the Java side, you need to push via the Visual Administrator (when you're at NW 7.02, that changes in 7.3 to the NWA), but you didn't ask that.
Typically, LMDB grabs an incremental update from SLD every 10 minutes or so. Check for a job called SAP_LMDB_LDB_0000000001. If your SLD-LMDB connection is not working properly, you may need to reset it. (SOLMAN_SETUP (as solman_admin or equivalent). Then system preparation -->5 Prepare Landscape). What is very strange is that...! Because AM1 is not an operation system user (local/domain) is a specific database user (MS SQL Server) and because of that I can´t give any access to AM1 user to the shared folder (\\10.0.0.45\backupsap)!

Yes, you should always do a Generate > Version. That way, if you run into problems you can go back to how the workflow was before you started making changes.
Be extra careful when changing Tasks and Methods as they have no concept of versions. So, for example, if you add a new mandatory binding element to a task then it will fail in current live workflow versions in Production if they use that task.

We have a requirement to configure IDOC's for Cost Center (COSMAS) and Projects (PROJECT). We need to be able to generate IDOC files (CSV format) and drop them under a specific folder under AL11. My Basis team says that since we are only dealing with one system and not sending out IDOC files to an external system, we don't need to use the Transactional RFC port under WE21 T-Code. Attached are the instructions we followed to configure the IDOC's but I feel like something isn't correct. Can anyone please let me know how I can configure these two IDOC files?

Ok, I misunderstood your requirement. In a transaction such as FB03, choosing the List... Export... Spreadsheet option will generally default to Excel (in MHTML Format). You can alternatively choose Select from All Available Formats and then in the drop-down choose one of the other Excel options (Office 2003 XML Format, Existing XXL Format, etc). If you like one of those, you will see the checkbox for Always Use Selected Format.
Alternatively, you can use Export... Local File instead, and then choose Spreadsheet as the format. Whereas the previous option would open the file immediately, this option will want to save it first, but you can choose the XLS format directly. It may or may not format as neatly as you like; the formatting is a bit different.
