GRC 10.0 BRM : Issue with Decision Table

Hello GRC mates,

 

I could successfully configure the following condition.

 

 

I built a condition where If I select a Composite role to be built in BRM it will go to approver 1 and if I select single Role to be built the request will go to Approver 2 for role approval based on condition group.

 

 

Now, My requirement is If I select Composite Role it has to go Approver 1 irrespective of any criticality of the role whereas for Single Role if the role criticality is HIGH it has to go to Approver 2 and If the role criticality is MEDIUM and LOW it has to go Approver 3.

 

Any screenshot on how to maintain the condition in a decision table please?

Blair,

If you have taken a backup of the database before you started the database and also the SUM directory then you can easily start the downtime phase again.

You need to restore the database backup and delete or rename the current SUM directory and put the one you have backed up and start the downtime again.

Remember, you will also need to put the old profiles and kernel used by the system before the downtime. You will isolate the CI before starting the downtime as mentioned in the upgrade guide and start the downtime phase.

much food for thought.

 

I have never really thought about object hierarchy but, if I understand correctly, it is possible to have a 'parent-child' relationship between applications (have I got that right?).

 

and this means that a data object created in the 'parent' application with Application Component access level should be visible in the 'child' applications.

 

the bit about the structure of projects (one big application versus many smaller applications) is something I am still struggling with. On one project I was involved in (although it did have several applications in it) the response in the workbench was glacial (literally minutes between mouse clicks) - we are in the process of refactoring this project.

 

Catalogs - I have not had much to do with so I do not really appreciate their value. I have come across enthusiastic comments about them in various discussions and blogs but I have not had the opportunity to investigate them.

 

so, my take from this is:

  1. global is ok but it may come with a performance hit
  2. Application Component access may be better
  3. be careful how projects are structured.

First check the PAM entry for the supporting OS and DB to upgrade the system to NetWeaver 7.4

The upgrade guide contains a substantial amount of information

You can use the SAP Solution Browser tool which is now known as the SAP Innovation Discovery to know what comes with the NetWeaver 7.4 version.

SAP Service Marketplace - SAP Improvements & Innovations

The best thing is to do a system copy of the production system to the sandbox and upgrade the sandbox to the target level and finally test the system. This will let you identify the potential impact and benefits of upgrading the system.

Change configured sender or receiver BS/BC

Dear Experts,

 

Is there a way to change the configured sender or receiver in the integration builder?

 

I have an interfaces of which sender/receiver is BS_A, I want to change the sender/receiver to BS_B.

Is it possible? or should I copy the objects (for sender or the communication channels if any. for receiver probably change the receiver at the integrated configuration / receiver determination) then change the sender/receiver.

Re: Combo Box Triangle Missing

Hi Xavier,

 

The combo box is ok when design time. I can see the box and all the triangle.

but when I export it and run from bi launchpad, the triangle is missing for all my combo box. I have 3 combo box on the dashboard.

 

At first everything is fine but when I add more and more object to the dashboard (chart, container etc) the combo box start missing the box and the triangle.

 

I tries to re save it to platform so many time. some time it worked just fine but many time the triangle is missing.

 

Please advice

Issue with file events

Hi All,

 

We are always getting the below message with the file events. .

 

'File event EVENT_ED1 encountered errors and will not be detected again until 2015/01/18 23:20:05,000 or when the process server is restarted'

 

I have to restart the process server every time I face this issue. When I restart it, I get the below message.

 

'File events may have been missed for *.txt in D:\INTRPTS\Interface\ED1'

 

Please advise.

You cannot max on just LCM APS memory. You can just restart the LCM APS. No need to restart SIA or Tomcat.

 

Minimum requirement for memore should be 16 GB.

Hi David, I encountered a similar situation where employer is giving a bonus in first quarter of the year in Off-cycle where some employees select for 100% RRSP.

 

so SAP Is deducting Income tax on the difference of CPP and EI and as per business SAP should only deduct CPP and EI not income tax if any employee select 100% RRSP option.

 

I copied model wage type M251 for Bonus and M580 RRSP deduction from Bonus.

Please let me know is SAP correct in calculating income tax? Looking for help.

Hi Kishore,

 

I also tries to add new combo box to the dashboard to test if the old one corrupted but new one alse behaving the same. the box and triangle is missing.

 

I have search all the sap notes related to this but there is no sap notes for this.

 

I suspect the "save to the platform" not stable since once a while it worked and many time it didnt worked.

 

Anybody experiencing the same thing ?
