hello everyone,

 

As I have done system refresh by backup/restore. So taking backup will be of whole the system data so there is no need to take a separate backup of java schema. Now the data is restored.

 

but i am checking the kernel patch level in production and quality system are different. But i do not think it will create any problem because for data backup/restore only

Hi All,

 

I have two fields in search parameter let field A and B,   AS per my client requirement , I want result   should search either by A or B  but not both.

I want result  based on 'OR' in between those two parameters.

So suggest me which one going to help me to achieve this by add_selection_param or GET_SELECTION_PARAMS .

And how i write the code for 'OR' Condition.

 

Can anyone please tell me how can I achieve it ?

Again,

 

Original transport request contains two tasks :

  • repair , datasource replica
  • dev/corr , datasource in BW

When you go to the request détails, you can see two lines with the same datasource name

  • datasource replica | R3TR | ISFS   | datasource_name | trash can icon
  • datasource in BW  | R3TR | RSDS | datasource_name |

 

And when I recreate transport it only contains one task, details of request :

  • datasource replica  | R3TR | RSDS | datasource name |

Hi Gajesh,

Nothing is mentioned as such. Client wants hierarchy to be authorized in queries.

Also users assigned to a node should see everything under its sub tree.

 

Have directly used the cust_sales and since division and sales org are already compounded of cust_sales, didn't add them in external char...Is my understanding correct?

 

Also, should the three special chars added or only 0TCTAUTHH added

Workitem text Expression not picking values & CASE Step failing for Alphanumeric Values

Hi Experts,

 

I am facing 2 strange issues in workflow

 

1) A Workitem has few expressions in as workitem text like &Text& &text2& &text3& . I can see all values correctly populated in workflow log but still text is appearing to user as is i.e. Expressions are not picking values from container elements.

 

2) This one is related to CASE step that I have used in workflow. In this step I am checking a value which is being passed to workflow at runtime. When workflow reaches this step it works fine if the value is Numeric but fails whenever it encounters Alphanumeric value comparison. While the same is working fine in a different workflow with both Numeric and Alphanumeric values.

 

I thought it could be due to data type so I used the datatype of other workflow where CASE step is working fine but to no avail again got same error. I also tried with CHAR2 data type but nothing is working. I used switch as well to check if this is happening with CASE but that is also failing always getting below error ( FIND_NEXT_NODES_CASE).

Not possible to reimport, because stms list will be empty after the refresh of acc system.

Hi Horatiu,

 

I remember putting this question to the SCN "caretakers" a few years back. And the reply I got from them is (what you already mentioned) about the volume of data. There is so much data that it is nearly impossible to go about "cleaning" the noise and leaving the "good stuff" untouched. A time-bound archiving is not a good idea either since it will relegate some of the old "gem" threads to the archives.

 

So when I became a Moderator of ABAP forums, I tried to "clean up" as much as possible. I began by wiping out those "Interview Questions" threads and threads those point to other link-farming threads. These threads hardly added any value to the forums. The link-farms and interview-farms formed a vicious whirlpool of useless noise.

 

In the ABAP forums, thanks to a lot of Active Moderators from time to time, most of the basic and oft-asked questions were dealt with efficiently. We maintained a zero-tolerance towards basic/easily searchable, copy-pasting, link-farming behaviour.

 

In the Career Center forum I collected important/useful/helpful blogs and made them as Sticky's so that the information is readily available and that members don't go about asking the same questions over and over again.

 

I also tried to set a few things right in the Wiki area trying to collate stuff and set things in order. But there's only so much one can do with the volume of data involved.

 

In conclusion, if every Moderator does his or her bit in the "clean-up" then yes, we can cut through most of the noise and get the useful information easily.

Hi Sebastian,

 

your question doesn't make the problem very clear. You ask about WBS, but then describe the problem as being with the cost centre.

 

I'll try to point you towards some solutions anyway.

 

To begin with: all data in IT0027 is directly stored in PA0027 - I asume you know that, but just being safe.

 

The master cost centre is stored in IT0001. The field "master cost centre" above the lines to capture different cost assignments in the IT0027 screen is display only and shows data from IT0001. So, no matter, whether you create or copy a record in IT0027, the master cost centre is not stored there. If you think it is displaying the wrong value, double check how periods of 0027 and 0001 oberlap. To have a cleab display, one 0027 record should never cover more than one 0001 record. It may also be a refresh issue. Leave the transaction and go back in to be sure. however: no matter what's dilayed in that field, the master cost centre at any given point in time is always determinded from IT0001. So, this display field in 0027 doesn't matter anywhere.

 

This is completely different, if, for whatever reason, you capture the master cost centre in one of the lines in IT0027 and assign a percentage. Then it will never change automatically (assuming no BAdis or exits are used). One mistake made quite often is to capture a line with the residual percentage assigned to the master cost centre. This redundant information gets into your way, when the real master cost centre changes. It should not be done that way. The residual percentage of cost not assigned in any of the lines is automatically assigned to the master cost centre from IT0001.

 

Hope any of this helps to clarify how it works.

Import export functionality is working from other workstation and checked there is nothing configured in host file of that workstation.The is only with my workstation. May be something wrong in my client IDT.

SAPUI5 tutorial sample - fade button not working

Hi Experts,

 

    I have this script which is not work and I have no clue as to why and hence reaching out to the experts to see if anyone can guide / direct. Thanks in advance.

 

I have the below code copied and pasted in the view and activated and it is not showing the button:

});

 

I made sure that the script source is adjusted to point to /sap/ui5/1/.... and I even tried src="https://sapui5.hana.ondemand.com/resources/sap-ui-core.js" but it does not work. Then I had the entire code from --- How to Create and Run a Simple SAPUI5 Application from Scratch within 20 Seconds --- copied in a local .html file and it works in the browser. So really not sure whats is wrong with the project. It seems for some reason the view is not getting invoked at all and thats the reason the page is blank. I added plain text "Hi there" to the index.html file and it is working so nothing wrong with getting to the index file itself.

 

     Any suggestions for the first timer?

Hi,

 

I have a dataset of customers (with unique customer numbers) that have sales in 2 years. 2012 & 2013. I have added a flag to each customer
to identify customers which are new business customers in 2013 (i.e. the customer didn't have sales in 2012) and existing business customers (i.e. had sales in 2012).

 

I have created a dimension to put the flag on each customer. The formula I'm using is as follows:

=If(IsNull([Sales Quantity Full Year] In ([Customer No]));0;1)

 

where,

Customer No is the unique customer number

Sales Quantity is total sales in the prior year

New business customers will have a flag of 0

Existing business customers will have a flag of 1

 

All this works fine, no issues so far.

 

Customer sales are broken out into different sales areas, North, South, East & West.

 

What I want to be able to show is a vertical table with the sales areas in a vertial column on the left, then beside that the total for new business sales in the period (2013) and then another column for exisitng business sales in the period. I don't want to show customer numbers as its too much detail.

 

               New Business     Existing Business    

North          1,000               12,000

South          2,000               11,000

East               500               8,000

West          5,000               15,000

 

But when the try to show the table like this I get #Multivalues where the values should be.

If I only include North and also include the customer numbers the values are shown, when I remove the customer number and so at an regional level, I get #Multivalues again.

 

I have created a measure for New Business, the formula reads as follows:

=Sum([Sales Quantity  2013]) Where ([New Customer]=0)

 

The formula for Exisiting business is the sames only 0/zero is replaced with 1.

So how are you instantiating the view in the index file? Can you paste that code?

MSS Start Process for Employees

Hi ,

 

Can you advice what is the best way to get only the direct and indirect reportees under the start process for employees ->employee search . Currently it seems when the manager is searching for employees he is able to see literally everyone. Thanks.
