I definitely agree with the face to face meeting for a start being very beneficial. Incl. social elements. Building personal rapport is very important.
A few points I found helpful:
- take turns with being in the "bad" time zone for virtual meetings, i.e. it should not always just suit the US with Europe and Asia to suffer from inconvenient times
- simple thing: make sure everybody is aware of time differences and how they change around daylight saving switch
- build awareness for English native speakers so they realise what is easy and what is difficult for others to understand
- when a variety of accents and levels are present in a conf call, it's easy to create frustration,when people don't understand each other and stop asking. Facilitators should summarise every few minutes. Online minute taking shared life on the screen also helps to avoid surprises, when the minutes are sent.
- Online collaboration tools help a lot. We use a Confluence wiki. Important to establish a simple set of rules how to use it
- Some kind of virtual water cooler for social chats or quick project related questions - as simple as a Skype group chat
- monitor comms - it is too easy for people to pretend to have nothing to discuss and skip meetings. Encourage regular and ad hoc virtual meetings and phone / Voip over email
- celebrate together. Successes as well as personal events like birthdays.
- if your company culture comprises after work activities, then do encourage them in the virtual team as well. E.g. online games - ideally one including Voice, but at least a chat, so it's not just task focused

Per my knowledge base, authorization check with PFCG roles seems to be to correct approach.
The data in CRM, I think you may mainly refer to CRM Business Transactions (e.g. sales/service order), Business Partner, and Product.
For business transactions, you can set up organizational units level authorization check, the detailed information can be found in http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/en/48/a44236ceb873e8e10000000a42189b/frameset.htm
For BP, you can use the authorization object CRM_BP_SA, it is used to control the display of BP sales area data.
For product, the authorization objects are COM_PRD and COM_PRD_CT.

How to map two columns to one dimension with conversion file
Hello gurus, this is my situation:
SITUATION
I need to map accounts from a flat file to the model in SAP BPC.
1. Source (Flat File)
Columns: C_Account, Cost Center, amount
2. Destination (Model SAP BPC)
Columns: F_Account, amount
THE RULE
C_Account + Cost_Center = F_Account
EXAMPLE
Flat File Model SAP BPC
C_Account CostCenter F_Account
C_1982000, 2319 10$ must be mapped to --------> F_3210000
C_1982000, 2100 20$ must be mapped to --------> F_3210000
I dont know how to refer in the conversion file both dimensions (C_Account, CostCenter) in the internal column in order to map correctly with an if statement.

Hi Monika,
Check if you are in-line with the below steps:
1. After creating the table, create table maintenance Generator by going to the SE11-CHANGE - Utilities - Table Maintenance Generator
2. You will be prompted to the below screen . Double click on the Output screen ie Overview screen for Single Screen
3. You will get the below Screen painter 101 screen for that Maintenance view.
4. Now click on the Element List Tab ----> IN that click on Texts/IO/Templates tab, so you will find the table control as below,
If we look in the below case in the Name Column, we have field MESTYP, and in the text we have Message_Type, this can be renamed as per your requirement. This is the value displayed in the output screen.
5. Now you can change the description as required in Text or I/O field tab.

Hi,
First do your upload in the AT SELECTION-SCREEN event. Then the logic would be read the file or rather upload the file with GUI_UPLOAD then.
Read the first line with READ and INDEX. Then Split based on the separator say into a work area that has 30 fields each say text of length 20 chars (or what ever is max length this is just to validate). Then check the 7th field in the work area if it is blank its the file with 6 fields and if not its the file with 30. Give you message and as its AT SELECTION SCREEN user gets it on the screen

WDA HCMPF application unable to read selected pernr
Hi All,
I have configured the Launch pad to start the WDA HCMPF applications.
We are using MSS Add On Team app to launch HCMPF apps.
The app is unable to read the selected pernr. In the Parameters I am passing the PERNR_MEM_ID too.
Here is what I configured:
Namespace: sap
Application: ASR_PROCESS_EXECUTE_OVP
Target App Parameters: APPLICATION_TYPE=PA&PROCESS=ZDEMO_APP&SUBST_CLASSIFICATION=NO_CLASS&INITIATOR_ROLE=HRASRB&PERNR_MEM_ID
Configuration: ASR_PROCESS_EXECUTE_OVP_CFG
BUT If I pass PERNR=<Pernr number> then the application is executing fine without any issues. This is hard coded way, what do I need to do make it dynamic. The documentation says PERNR_MEM_ID should be good enough but its not helping.
Any IDEAS or suggestions to my issue.

Yes it’s true the fields that were mentioned should not affect the release strategy.
But actually it dose effect the release strategy in First scenario.
Example if I have 1000 old purchase orders that I need to close them.
So after I did the mass change 950 were closed successfully without changing the release strategy but the other 50 were also closed but the release strategy was changed. So after the analysis I found out that the 50 purchase order release strategy was reset because the first scenario.

When you create a project you give "Person Responsible", defaulted to current user. Check that, try changing it.
