Coming to 2nd point I have few questions,
How should I return damaged equipment to repair store?
How do I convert IR-ABCD or ER-ABCD from a damaged ABCD? Do you want me to post stock from ABCD (damaged) to IR-ABCD or ER-ABCD?
I have actually planned to do below steps, Please suggest me if you find any flaw
1. Create a WO (Break down type) for issuing a new equipment (Material: M1) to replace damaged equipment.
2. Return the damaged equipment (Material: M1) with negative quantity on step1 work order
3. The planned and actual cost for material M1 gets nullify (concern)
4. Receive the equipment in a storage location (Damaged) material M1
5. Create a new WO refurbishment type (Equal to PM04) on material M1
6. Issue the M1 from Damaged Storage location to work shop along with spares.
7. complete the repair job
8. receive the goods using IW8W at a normal storage location from where it can re issued for use.
9. On refurb order the M1 planned and actual becomes ZERO, and Spares and man power cost will be available.
10 Change the settlement rule instead of default, and pass the expenses other than material master.
Which will not influence the material price.
Please suggest or raise concern points.

Looking at the Product Availability Matrix (PAM), it appears that Progress OpenEdge is NOT supported as a CMS database. You would be able to get it to work by including the Sybase SQL Anywhere default database in the install. After the install is complete, you might be able to move the CMS database by opening the Central Configuration manager (CCM), stopping the Server Intelligence Agent (SIA) and going to the Database tab of the SIA's properties. There you have an option to change the CMS database. One of the options is to copy the existing database to another database. I don't know for sure whether it will let you make that change, though.
The version of Progress OpenEdge that you have IS supported for getting data within the Crystal Reports that you publish to Crystal Server. You'll just need to use a 32-bit ODBC connection for it to work.

I am Creating a Infoprovider on MSEG table for some random report Requirement which will have Final Output(Opening and Closing Stock) as MB5B report and Product Costing for Corresponding Material based on Moving average price and Quantity,
Referring to 0IC_C03
I have created some info object which can give me Opening Closing Stock
1.Column A B C available from MSEG and mapped Directly to Custom Infoobject
2. Column D & F can be derived with the help of Routine
a. Column D (Moving avg. Quantity) = IF GR = ' blank' THEN Quantity = -1* Quantity ELSE 'Quantity '
b. Column E (Closing Stock) = Column B + Column D
Now my ultimate goal is to achieve Closing Stock(Column E) Avoiding Step 1 & 2
Inventory Cube Does the same By Inward and outward Flow
So i assume that on Infobject (Opening Stock) i can have Inflow as Quantity
(Infoobject= Opening Stock , Inflow= Quantity, Outflow=?)
1. But what about Outflow???
2. How Inflow will get Deducted on this Stock if it doesn't have any Negative Indicator ?
Also Does This have any Significance on it

Just do one thing to confirm. Go into HTML5 mode, use Adaptation tool and set the field you want to be mandatory as mandatory. Publish this change to field property and test.
Whenever the field that is set as mandatory using KUT/Adaptation tool and not filled in before saving, you get this generic form of message:
Save rejected because field (<FieldName>) is defined as mandatory by key user.
Fieldname is automatically picked up while displaying this message. You do not have to do any coding to achieve this. Just set it as mandatory using KUT and you would get this message with the Red color that you expect. I had mentioned this even before.

KP06 Cost Element cannot be planned (master data)
Hello,
I have encountered an issue with the KP06 planning for some cost elements.
We are trying to enter some basic planning data into the System but for some reason for some cost elements planning is not possible.
The crux for this problem lies in the fact, that planning works for some versions and for others it does not.
The Error Message is:
TKOP 6400000000 cannot be planned (master data)
Message No. GI522
Diagnosis
According to the master data definition, you cannot plan for this coding block element.
The Steps I have taken so far are:
Compared the versions, those that worked and those that did not. They are configured the same way.
I have checked the cost Elements. For some a Functional Area was specified and for some that failed there wasn't.
But the cost element category was set as 1 so thats fine.
I have checked the G/L accounts and checked whether they are blocked for some reason: They aren't.
Any insight in why I cant plan these cost elements would be much appreciated
EDIT: Our IT Guy found out that the G/L Account is locked for planning.
How can it be that despite the Lock the corresponding cost element cant be used for planning in some versions?
Is there a way to curcumvent such a lock and where do I find this information?

we're running IE=EmulateIE7 / Quirks, because most of our users are still on XP with IE7 (don't ask..) -.-
The issue is happening for all iviews/scenarios as I wrote in my opening post. I tried different iviews which existed before the upgrade and also created a couple of news ones after the upgrade. All of these iViews are affected.
